Warhawk Air Museum
Self-Guided ONLY
Take this short ride through the Treasure Valley and ending at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho. Take an unguided tour of the facility and learn a great deal about aviation with Idaho connections and of general military aviation throughout the world. The Warhawk Air Museum is privately owned with numerous private displays and represents the American experience of World War I, World War II, and the Cold War Era including the Korean War and Vietnam War. Visitors learn about the personal experiences of men, women, and children who lived through those times and how advancements in technology impacted our society. This 40,000 square foot museum houses a large collection of airplanes and equipment, including two of only a few remaining Curtiss P-40 World War II fighters left in the world and a very rare World War II P-51C Razorback Mustang fighter. Check them out on Facebook! In addition, we’ll go by the Idaho Military History Museum at Gowen Field. The Idaho Military History Museum has been established for the purpose of "preservation, display and interpretation of military history and artifacts that have a geographical tie to the history of the people and state of Idaho". The Idaho Military History Museum was opened in 1995 by the Idaho Military Historical Society. The displays honor all branches of the Military services. Idaho enjoys a rich, powerful and honorable past. Our current service men and women of today proudly add to our history every day!
