Run for the Canadian Border
Leaving Marysville, you roll north on quiet backroads that weave through Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. The ride keeps you off the freeway, instead winding past farmlands, river valleys, and small towns with views of the Cascades on one side and glimpses of the Salish Sea on the other. Traffic is light, the pace is easy, and you get that old-school Northwest ride feel. As you
get closer to Blaine, the route tightens into tree-lined stretches before opening up at the Canadian border.
Leave your bike in the United States and take a short walk through the well-maintained gardens and paths, where the iconic white Peace Arch greets you.
Step over the border and take a picture!
Grab something to eat in the charming town of Blaine, and head back to Marysville via more back roads or catch some wind on
Interstate 5.
