ICE CREAM RUN - Self Guided

Craving a little wind in your face and a scoop of something cold?

This quick, low-key ride is pure Pacific Northwest charm. Roll out and meander through the Skagit Valley’s backroads, where you’ll pass working dairy farms, tidy grape vineyards, and wide-open farmland. In springtime, imagine these same fields ablaze with tulips and daffodils—a scene straight from a postcard.

As you approach Snowgoose Produce, located on Best Road in La Conner,  the smell of freshly made waffle cones will guide you in. Take it easy on the gravel parking lot, then treat yourself to one of their 30-plus ice cream flavors—yes, even a classic vanilla if you’re feeling old-school. Grab a picnic table and savor your cone while soaking in a panoramic view of snow-capped Mount Baker rising above the foothills.

If you’d like to start with lunch before dessert, plan a stop at the Conway Pub & Eatery—famous for its oysters, burgers, and fish & chips. You’ll pass through Conway twice on this loop, making it easy to fit in a meal on the way out or back.

This ride isn’t about speed; it’s about slowing down and experiencing why we love to live and ride here.
