SNOQUALMIE FALLS - SELF GUIDED

This ride is about taking the long way to a legendary Northwest landmark—Snoqualmie Falls—but with a twist that avoids the traffic headaches and lets you enjoy a more relaxed stop.

From Sound Harley-Davidson you’ll head east, trading the bustle of town for winding backroads framed with tall evergreens, rivers, and glimpses of the Cascades. About halfway, the route threads through several small towns—perfect spots to take a stretch and grab some coffee, OR grab some lunch on the way back!

Here’s where local knowledge makes the ride shine. Instead of diving into the main Snoqualmie Falls parking area—where tourists, traffic, and tight parking can frustrate even the calmest rider—you’ll take the insider route.

  • From SE Fall City/Snoqualmie Rd., turn onto 372nd Avenue SE. You’ll see signs referring to the Fish Hatchery—that’s your clue you’re on the right track.

  • Follow this road to the Lower Falls area. Here, you’ll find FREE parking (a rare treat) and clean restrooms.

  • A short walk brings you to Powerhouse No. 2, and just beyond, a boardwalk that takes you right to the base view of Snoqualmie Falls.

  • Standing there, you’ll feel the roar and mist of one of Washington’s most famous waterfalls. At 270 feet tall, Snoqualmie Falls is actually 100 feet higher than Niagara Falls.                                                         â€‹

On the return trip home there are a number of biker-friendly establishments for a break and a bite to eat.
